On the 14th of May, we held the second of the Wells Goes Green workshops- Let's Get Growing! Hosted by The Bishop's Palace, we learn about growing food at home. The Allotment Society gave talks containing growing tips and gave advice on growing specific foods, the Compost Champions delivered a talk on -you guessed it- composting with all the do's and don’ts, and Jo (The Bishop's Palace's Community Gardener) ran a potting practical and discussed alternatives to peat-compost!
We would like to say a massive ‘thank you!’ to The Bishop's Palace for hosting the event, The Allotment Society for showing off their allotments, The Compost Champions for their excellent presentation and all of the volunteers who helped the day run smoothly! And thank you to everyone who came to the event, we had a great time and hope you did too!
