Established over 20 years ago, the Italian Annual Romulus and Remus Festival celebrates local Italian life and culture as an important part of our heritage in the City of Wells.
The Mayor, Councillor Jasmine Browne made a speech in Italian and cut the ribbon to officially open the Festival in Palace Fields on Sunday 14th July.
Music was provided by renowned local tenor, Tim Pitman, Take Two with Lui, Mimmo and John plus special guest Marvin Muoneké.
Delicious Italian food and drink was available and many families brought their own picnics. The event supported Dorset & Somerset Air Ambulance and other local charities and First Aid provision was by Wells Branch of St. John’s Ambulance and Wells St. John’s Ambulance Cadets.
