Visit to St Cuthbert's Church of England Junior School

Visit to St Cuthberts Church of England Junior School

On Thursday 13th March, the Mayor of Wells, Councillor Jasmine Browne with the Mayor’s Royal Mace Bearer, Mr. Colin Price and Wells Town Crier, Mr. Len Sweales, visited St. Cuthbert’s Church of England Junior School in Wells to talk to the children in assembly.

Each gave a talk about their role and the history of Wells City Council and then took questions from the pupils. The Mayor and her two colleagues were extremely impressed by the interesting and thoughtful questions posed by the children and by their excellent behaviour. What wonderful ambassadors for the school!

The Mayor would like to thank Headteacher Mrs. Mullinger and Senior Teacher Mrs. Ramsay for the warm welcome.

It was wonderful to be out in the community and to hear from the young people of our City.
