The Mayor of Wells, Councillor Jasmine Browne attended the 5th/7th Wells Scouts Annual Group Meeting (AGM) and BBQ on Wednesday 24 July and is pictured here with the adult volunteers and leaders.
The AGM was attended by over 100 parents, carers and young people who came to hear about everything the different sections have achieved over the year and show their backing for our local Scouts community.
The Mayor has chosen to support the 5th/7th Wells Scouts Hut refurbishment project as her chosen charity and enjoyed meeting and talking to so many volunteers and young people.
£250 was raised on the evening of the AGM towards the refurbishment project. Councillor Philip Welch joined the Mayor at the AGM to lend his support to raising awareness of upcoming fundraising events for our local Scout group.
