Town Hall Hire

    About

    Wells Town Hall is a wonderful location for all types of events and functions, it has played host to many a ball, fashion show, meeting and wedding over the years, in addition to the frequent civic and public events. The Town Hall holds a public entertainment licence (covering music, dancing & alcohol on the premises).

     

    Booking sessions

    There are eight different rooms that are available to hire within the Town Hall.  
    All the rooms are hired per session and the session times are broken up into the following time slots: 8:00 - 13:00 / 13:00 - 18:00 / 18:00 - 23:30 

     

    Room capacity

    Main Hall - (180 people)
    The Westwood Room - (80 people)
    Parkes Room - (60 people)
    Indictment Room - (30 people)
    Council Chamber - (30 people)
    Public Gallery Bar - (24 people)
    Meeting Room - (8 people)

     

    Additional utilities hire

    You can also hire the following at additional costs:

    • Staging
    • Professional audio equipment
    • Crockery, cutlery & glassware
    • Projectors, TVs & Laptop

     

    Charges & discounts

    There is a discount for block bookings and charity events.
    There is an extra charge for hiring on a Sunday.

    We are a Plastic Free venue - Here at Town Hall, we are conscious of the global plastic problem. Single-use plastic creates a high carbon footprint when being created, and can take 100’s of years to break down into microplastics, polluting our soil and waterways. This is why we have removed single-use plastics from our ways of working, and have banned single-use plastic from events held within Town Hall. All recourses such as cups, cutlery and plates must be compostable or reusable.
