    Wells Carnival November 2024

The Wells Carnival 2024 was a roaring success as tens of thousands of spectators gathered to witness the brilliantly illuminated floats, vibrant marching bands, talented musicians, and energetic dance acts as they weaved through the medieval streets of our City.

As part of the renowned Guy Fawkes Carnival Circuit, the Somerset Carnivals are the largest illuminated processions in the world, and Wells Carnival is a true highlight. This year two extra marshals joined the team of volunteers - Michael Beasley, the Bishop of Bath and Wells and Tony Wright - the Dean of Wells. The Mayor, Councillor Jasmine Browne, who is pictured here with one of the fantastic samba dancers, would like to thank all judges, marshals, volunteers and sponsors of this wonderful community event.
