The Mayor of Wells, Councillor Jasmine Browne was invited by the Mayor of Axbridge to represent Wells in celebrating 50 years of Axbridge Town Council and join in the procession at  Axbridge Blackberry Carnival on Saturday 21st September. One of Axbridge’s oldest family traditions.  

The Blackberry Carnival is hosted at the same tine as the annual Blackberry Fair and the Mayor of Wells and other Somerset Mayors and former Mayors were led by the assembled Town Criers in a procession through Axbridge’s beautiful medieval streets. The Mayor of Wells is pictured here with her host, Councillor Graham Page and would like to thank Axbridge for their wonderful hospitality.
